In every sport, there are those competitors who rise above the crowd, who climb the mountain of success, scaling to heights few other even dare to dream about.  And their achievements are accomplished not only with an air of confidence, but also seemingly without effort.

Mike Towler  started his career racing in 2000 in a friends  backyard in  Harmony, NJ.  In 2003 Mike bought a Kranzels Terminator and moved to Ray's Place in Quakertown, PA. He Finished 13th in points the first year out at Rays.  Mike also ran the IRS tour at Wernersville, PA R/C Speedway and finished in the top 20 in points.  In 2004 Mike continued racing at Ray's Place and finished 7th in points.  He also bought a Nitro Terminator and started racing at Newville Speedway in Newville, PA.  Where he finished in the top 15th in points in his rookie year.

Mike's biggest race came in 2004 when he traveled up to Upstate New York to Finger Lakes Speedway for the 2004 Summer Nationals.  There he went up against the New York boys and The Pennsylvania Posse.  Mike qualified 2nd and finished 1st in small block A main.  It was his biggest race win to date.  And from that race, the nick name "The Jersey Jet" was born.  But, Mike doesn't mind being called "The Jersey Jet" cause since he's been young he grew up watching Brett "The Jet" Hearn.  So to have a nick like his hero is alright by him.  And Mike is one of a few of drivers that comes out of the state of New Jersey, so the nick fits him well.

In December of 2004 Raine Racing and Mike teamed up and headed to the Dirt Oval Nationals at Cooper's Race Center in  Chatham, Virginia.  It was a long week of racing and headaches.  He ran 2 of his own cars and was out for the first time ever in the Raine Racing 42r sprint car.  Mike was knocked out with both his cars.  Then came time to run his 42r  sprint car.  Mike started in the E main and worked his way from the E all the way to the B main.  It was a Sunday that anybody could wish for.  But Mike ran into the factory drivers with the best of the best stuff. Mike ended up finishing 4th in the race and 10th over all in the Nation in the sprint car class, and from there Raine Racing and Mike have been racing the 2004/2005 winter together.

Now in 2005 with Raine Racing and Mike together their plans are to run the full Dirtoval.com tour and run the full Newville Speedway schedule with their new Custom Works Nitro sprint car.  And to run their Custom Works Electric sprint car at Ray's Place. Their goals are to finish strong in points in 2005.  Mike also has a Nitro truck they plan on racing at Newville Speedway.  Mike could also pull out his Nitro and Electric Terminators that are also top notch equipment.

The past couple of years, Mike's had his ups and downs with racing. But he's also had a lot of fun. Along the way he's been to a lot of tracks and has met a lot of good friends. In any sport/hobby everybody is like a family. You will always find them after a night of racing sitting in a diner talking about their night of racing and their probably sitting around goofing off with each other. Mike and his fellow racers travel together and you can always see their convoy of trucks and trailers rolling down the highways. They are a very close family that sticks together.  Their never afraid to help each other out or even a new racer at the tracks. Mike also brings along his crew chief and good friend Wayne Groover (Goob) that works and sets up his cars. Goob is also a fellow racer and it does get interesting in the trailer at times.

In 2005 the goals are high and with Raine Racing sponsoring him.  With Raine Racing behind Mike they could be a force this 2005 season.  So If you see the trailer rolling down Route 78, he's probably off to race either at Ray's Place, Newville Speedway, Bumps & Jumps Speedway or Wernersville Speedway,  and if you're ever at an event and see the trailer stop on in. You could be impressed with Mike and his crew that comes along with him every Friday and Saturday nights.  They are a very fun group that enjoys what they do............
